Data and Analytics

The Keynote Panel Discussion, “Data & Analytics,” was provided by Emyr James, Head of Information Management Data & Strategy, ANZ Bank, Raf Cinaglia, Head of Information Management, Macquarie Group, Aps Chikhalikar, Director of IT, Optus and moderated by: Alan Eldridge, Sales Consulting Manager – ANZ, Tableau Software.

This Panel Discussion explored the world of Business Intelligence, as more organisations begin to open up data to their employees, allowing more people to see data as an important tool to get their work done. Panelists discussed how the norms about Business Intelligence are evolving, and how as they do, they lead to wholesale cultural change at some workplaces. This change is driven not only by fast-moving technology, but also by new techniques to get value from data. The discussion highlighted what’s currently happening in the industry regarding data and analytics, including a frame and reference around the top BI trends for the coming year.
