Creating shareholder value through collaborative innovation
Presenting the second keynote of the day was the highly anticipated, Dr Peter Lily, Chairman of the Minerals Research Institute of Western Australia. Many were excited to hear from Dr Lilly, who is member to several industry institutes and a well-known academic. Dr Lily moderated a couch session esteemed delegates, to discuss the collaborative innovation and it’s impact on shareholder value.
Also joining the couch was, Rick Stroud, Director and mining engineer of Cleaveland Mining. A seasoned, mining professional, Risk has had over 40 years in the industry, in both the corporate and operations. He has also garnered an impressive 12 years gold mining background, in Indonesia, West Papua, Chile and more.
Our Master of Ceremonies, David Rose, Director of KPMG, also joined the couch session. David has substantial experience in the mining industry and has had a successful career in operations, project and executive management. Operating an an impressive analytical thinker, David has 30 years experience and is now working with KPMG on various projects.
Dr Steve Harvey, from CSIRO serves as its Deputy Director and served as the final panelist on the couch. The Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation, dedicates itself to Australia’s scientific development.
