Dr. Robert Emery is the Vice President for Safety, Health, Environment & Risk Management for The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and Professor of Occupational Health at the University of Texas School of Public Health.
Bob has over 40 years of experience in health & safety and holds master’s degrees in health physics and environmental sciences, and a doctorate in occupational health. He is responsible for the health and safety of over 17,000 students, faculty, and staff in classrooms, laboratories, offices, and clinical care settings spread over an area equal to the size of the State of Connecticut – as well as regional campuses located across the State of Texas
Bob is also unique in that he possesses national board certification and registration in seven main areas of health & safety, and has extensive media experience.

James is an accomplished Safety Professional with over 17 years of experience. He has worked on both OSHA and MSHA job sites, civil construction, industrial construction, plant operations, overhead transmission and distribution, substation construction, and warehouse/manufacturing.
He has been instrumental in bridging current industry practices with modern technology. Throughout his career, he has focused primarily on continuous process improvement and behavior based initiatives. He can best be described as a motivated team player and an energetic thinker with an unique ability to make things happen.
James is also a proud former U.S. Marine Corps Officer (Captain) and Afghanistan War veteran.
Yasser has been in the HSE field for the past 17 years, spanning Active Duty service in the US Navy, and working for and with global industry leaders across western Europe and North America across Managed Services, Heavy Industrial Manufacturing, and Supply Chain (Warehousing, Distribution, and Logistics). Yasser’s passion lies in building programs and Safety Management Systems with a focus on applying cutting edge Adult Learning psychology and change management methodologies to hone in on the most important influencing factors for those impacted by safety to make it as personal and useful to them as possible.

As an authorized OSHA Outreach Trainer and certified professional across Construction, General Industry, and Maritime, I blend field expertise with academic strength—holding an Executive MBA, a Master’s in Integrated Management Systems, and ISO/OHSAS certifications.
Currently an adjunct professor at Florida International University, I mentor future safety leaders through the Susan Harwood Training Grant. I’m also a certified Envision Sustainability Professional, committed to driving initiatives that create real, lasting value beyond compliance.

Ray McGuire, CSP is a seasoned operations leader with more than two decades of experience driving safety, health, environmental excellence, and operational efficiency. He has successfully led large-scale projects, including the start-up of a multibillion-dollar greenfield factory and automated distribution center, overseeing safety standards, equipment and facility design, process optimization, and talent development.
With a proven track record of delivering award-winning safety performance, Ray has held senior leadership roles in safety strategy, environmental sustainability, and operations. A veteran of the U.S. Army and Army National Guard, he served as a Civil Affairs Officer in Iraq, bringing a unique blend of military discipline and corporate expertise to his work.
I am the Director of Employee Health, Safety, and Security at Go Rentals, a hospitality company offering elite vehicles and personalized services across the US. Working closely with Operations and Field Management, I lead and monitor all employee health, safety, and security programs.
With over 10 years of experience in aviation and hospitality, I’m passionate about creating innovative, sustainable initiatives that build diverse and inclusive cultures for employees, customers, and communities. As a DEI champion and servant leader, I design and deliver programs that promote awareness, allyship, and engagement.
