Ray McGuire


Ray McGuire, CSP, is a seasoned operations leader with over 23 years of experience at Nestlé, driving safety, health, and environmental excellence. Currently, he serves as Director of Operations Start-up at Nestlé, overseeing the launch of a $930 million greenfield factory and automated distribution center. In this role, Ray is responsible for directing critical aspects of the project, including safety, health, and environmental standards, equipment and building design, operational flow optimization, and talent development.

Ray’s expertise spans safety strategy, environmental sustainability, operational efficiency, and team leadership, with a proven track record of achieving world-class results and award-winning safety performance. Throughout his tenure at Nestlé, he has held various leadership positions, including Safety Health & Environmental Director for Nestle Foods Division and Regional SH&E Manager. Ray’s commitment to safety and sustainability has earned him multiple awards, including the NUSA Chairman’s OMP Award for Safety Excellence.

A veteran of the U.S. Army and Army National Guard, Ray served as a Civil Affairs Officer in Iraq. He brings a unique blend of military discipline and corporate expertise to his role, driving operational excellence and safety excellence across Nestlé’s operations.

Elle Osborne

Elle Osborne is a Global Health Safety and Environmental Director who partners with the Executive Leadership Team of the Process and Pipeline Services organization of BHGE to work towards creating a safer, competent, and operationally effective workforce. After spending a handful of years as an Environmental Consultant working for many major operators, Elle went into operations where she found her niche creating teams of top performers in sales and execution. Looking for new challenges Elle took her skills to the Health and Safety side of the business where she has been able to take her leadership skills to create vested, strategic, critically thinking teams to a larger audience. There she has been able to forge together with her teams to drive incidents out of the business at an unprecedented rate. Leaving a wake of value, innovation, and paradigm shifts.

James Boykins

James is an accomplished Safety Professional with over 17 years of experience. He has worked on both OSHA and MSHA job sites, civil construction, industrial construction, plant operations, overhead transmission and distribution, substation construction, and warehouse/manufacturing.

He has been instrumental in bridging current industry practices with modern technology. Throughout his career, he has focused primarily on continuous process improvement and behavior based initiatives. He can best be described as a motivated team player and an energetic thinker with an unique ability to make things happen.

James is also a proud former U.S. Marine Corps Officer (Captain) and Afghanistan War veteran.

Yasser has been in the HSE field for the past 17 years, spanning Active Duty service in the US Navy, and working for and with global industry leaders across western Europe and North America across Managed Services, Heavy Industrial Manufacturing, and Supply Chain (Warehousing, Distribution, and Logistics). Yasser’s passion lies in building programs and Safety Management Systems with a focus on applying cutting edge Adult Learning psychology and change management methodologies to hone in on the most important influencing factors for those impacted by safety to make it as personal and useful to them as possible.

Juan Abdel Aziz

Dynamic Health, Safety, and Environment executive with over 16 years of proven success across heavy civil, transportation, general industry, Mine Safety – OSHA, and environmental sectors. I am an authorized OSHA outreach trainer for Construction, General Industry, Disaster site workers, and Maritime, backed by credentials from USF and Volunteer State. I hold an Executive Master in Business Administration and a Master in Integrated Management Systems, alongside certifications in ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and a diploma in Safety and Health. As an adjunct professor at Florida International University, I passionately teach the Susan Harwood Training Grant Program in Safety and Health for construction management masters, empowering the next generation of leaders. Vanessa Galvin is a bilingual, bicultural safety professional and servant leader with over two decades of hands-on experience spanning food and industrial manufacturing, agriculture, warehousing, construction, refrigeration, retail, and port operations. Far from a desk-only leader, Vanessa is known for immersing herself fully in the environments she supports—operating forklifts, tractors, scissor lifts, refrigeration systems, and more—to truly understand the daily realities of frontline workers before implementing change. Her mission is to transform individuals into risk-competent decision makers and empower every employee to become a catalyst for positive change.

Driven by a passion for continuous improvement and technology integration, Vanessa has successfully led the development and execution of safety management systems across North and Latin America. She specializes in leveraging data, behavioral insights, and leading indicators to tell a story that drives measurable, lasting impact. As the Administrator of ASSP’s Hispanic Safety Professionals Common Interest Group, she champions mentorship and visibility for Hispanic EHS professionals worldwide.
