Synopsis and overview of the session

Technology is no longer a way to save money. Over 85% of respondents in a recent McKinsey survey said technology was either key to keeping up with competitors, creating a competitive advantage, or the focus of their strategy. These companies are all on a path to modernise their business and become a Data Driven Enterprise.

Legacy enterprises, and born in the cloud startups, are both working on the same problem: how do we use data to drive better customer experiences? Enterprises on this journey often need to understand how they integrate data capture into everything they do, ingest data at scale, make it available to those who need it, break it out of silos, analyse it, and use value unlocked to drive the next customer experience.

Focus Network, in partnership with DataStax will be bringing leading IT executives to discuss the following:

    • What does the modern, cloud-native, open source based, data infrastructure look like?
    • What roles do Kubernetes, streaming, distributed databases, and API’s play?
    • Will you be able to deploy to any cloud, public or private?

    Presenter
