Synopsis and overview of the session

As enterprises make increasing investments into AI, in particular Generative AI, application security can get overlooked, as the focus on AI-driven innovation intensifies. However, application security is more important today than ever before. Building security into software products and testing them regularly is critical for any cybersecurity program. Too many breaches emerge from insecure coding, insufficient application testing and poorly built software. Successful application security requires active participation from across the organisation, especially from developers.

The need for rapid application development – against a backdrop of large AI roll-outs and innovation – is highlighting the critical importance of DevSecOps. Focus Network in partnership with CheckMarx, invite you to join this executive roundtable discussion where we will outline the characteristics of a successful application security program and delve deeper into:

  • Ways of increasing the speed of application development without compromising security
  • Aligning your application security program with business needs
  • Application security best practices
  • Major benefits and challenges of DevSecOps
