Vanessa Galvin is a bilingual, bicultural safety professional and servant leader with over two decades of hands-on experience spanning food and industrial manufacturing, agriculture, warehousing, construction, refrigeration, retail, and port operations. Far from a desk-only leader, Vanessa is known for immersing herself fully in the environments she supports—operating forklifts, tractors, scissor lifts, refrigeration systems, and more—to truly understand the daily realities of frontline workers before implementing change. Her mission is to transform individuals into risk-competent decision makers and empower every employee to become a catalyst for positive change.

Driven by a passion for continuous improvement and technology integration, Vanessa has successfully led the development and execution of safety management systems across North and Latin America. She specializes in leveraging data, behavioral insights, and leading indicators to tell a story that drives measurable, lasting impact. As the Administrator of ASSP’s Hispanic Safety Professionals Common Interest Group, she champions mentorship and visibility for Hispanic EHS professionals worldwide. As Chief Pharmacy Quality and Safety Officer at the University of Chicago Medicine, I lead efforts that improve patient outcomes, reduce medication harm, and elevate the role of pharmacists in complex, high-stakes environments. Carol Miwa

Over 23 years of solid experience in Occupational Health & Safety, Environment, Quality, Sustainability, Social Responsibility, and Community Relations management and as auditor in numerous public and private infrastructure projects and manufacturing industry including international airport, multi-sport arena, wastewater and water treatment plant, highway, subway and diverse industry including aluminum rolling and extrusion, industrial catering, textile and testing/calibration laboratories, plastic bottle caps manufacturing, and construction quarrying facilities. Infrastructure industry projects and other sectors experience has been in Canada, USA and South America, including Brazil, Peru, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador and Paraguay. Certified coach leader having managed more than five diverse, multi-cultural, and global teams in the last 18 years, through advanced ability to deal appropriately and sensitively with diverse cultures which she has developed through regular work in an international setting. I am civil engineer and I hold formal education in Quality Engineering, Project Management (PMI), Occupational Health and Safety Engineering and master’s degree in Environmental Science and ENV SP designation. I am also Lead Auditor of the ISO 9001 (since 1998), ISO 14001 (including IRCA) and ISO 45001 Standards, and internal auditor of the ISO/IEC 17025 standard and BC COR.

Tracy Beaudry


Tracy Beaudry is a seasoned Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) leader with over 16 years of global experience spanning corporate and manufacturing environments. With a BA in Business Management, she specializes in designing and implementing enterprise-wide EHS management systems that drive proactive safety cultures and sustainable organizational change.

Tracy is known for her strategic leadership, her ability to integrate EHS into core business operations using Lean and continuous improvement methodologies, and her talent for developing future EHS leaders. She has successfully led cross-functional, multisite teams and is a passionate advocate for risk-based decision-making, performance measurement, and executive training in EHS excellence.

Dr. Bryan Webb


The primary function of my position is to identify, eliminate, and control hazardous conditions that may lead to injury and/or property damage using safety standards, best management practices, and analytical techniques.
Develop and conduct training on OSHA regulations and company policies.
Conduct daily safety inspections, document findings, and implement corrective actions.
Maintain all site required documentation related to safety issues, i.e. accident reports, inspection reports, training logs.

Marcia Kraemer


Experienced Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the building materials industry. Skilled in RCRA, ISO 14001, Environmental Compliance, Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS), and Workplace Safety. Strong professional with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) focused in Area of Occupational Safety and health from Murray State University.

James Simpson is the VP of Safety & Risk Management for Sanitation Specialists which is a contract food safety sanitation and services company with headquarters in Salinas, CA.

James possesses a diverse manufacturing background in food, automotive, HVAC industries and has technical expertise in providing customers safety leadership while managing environmental, health, safety and fleet safety regulatory compliance and consultation. James is a passionate EHS and Fleet Safety Professional dedicated to saving the lives of people every day.

Aron Yellott

Aron Yellott is an experienced leader in sustainability, environmental compliance, health, and safety, with a strong track record of driving ESG initiatives and regulatory compliance across industries. He has led transformative projects, including digitizing SHESS programs to boost employee engagement, developing comprehensive training protocols, and implementing innovative risk-management strategies that achieved more than two million hours without a recordable accident.

Passionate about sustainability and DE&I, Aron has guided organizations in reducing carbon footprints, achieving True Zero and LEED certifications, and embedding accountability at all levels of management. With his blend of technical expertise and collaborative leadership, he helps companies align business success with a more sustainable and resilient future.

 

Scott DeBow

Scott DeBow, CSP, ARM, is the Director of Health, Safety & Environmental at Avetta, where he leverages technology to manage risk at the speed of business. With over 25 years of experience in safety management, serious injury/fatality (SIF) prevention, and risk-based learning, Scott plays a pivotal role in driving Avetta’s mission to build safer, more sustainable supply chains.

Early in his career, Scott’s work investigating SIF incidents highlighted the critical need for prevention-focused strategies. Today, he helps organizations develop and implement systems improvements with a decisive approach to increasing organizational capacity while preventing SIF events.

In 2023, Scott was elected by his peers to serve as the Director-at-Large for the executive board of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP). This position allows him the opportunity to collaborate with other industry professionals and shape the future of workplace safety. He is also an active member of the ANSI Z-10 Committee for Safety Management Systems.

Outside of work, Scott enjoys cheering on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with his family and their dog, Maverick.
