Speaking Session – Change management, the gap between the executive discussions and the operational teams

Greg Cassis, CIO, Australian Financial Security Authority

In technology, change is constant and a crucial process in any organisation to ensure the successful implementation of changes. We’ve all worked or been involved in projects at some point – desktop rollouts, application development, networks, servers, go-lives, support, service management.

We spend time with management consultants, leveraging stakes in the ground to operationalise the ideational mechatronics of transformation, however, one common challenge is the gap between the executive discussions and the operational teams. While the executives may have a clear vision and strategy for the changes, it may not always be effectively communicated to the operational teams. This can result in confusion, resistance, and ultimately, failure. Effective change management requires clear communication and collaboration between all levels of the organisation to ensure a smooth transition and successful adoption of the changes.

“First of all, can I just say this was one of the best conferences I have been to in the last 5 years. The caliber of delegates (and networking opportunities), suppliers and speakers was exceptional. Your team – were so helpful before and during the event. Well done, I'd be very happy to be invited back!”

– 20TH CENTURY FOX

'Fantastic event! Congratulations to you and the team. Hands down the best event I have attended as a sponsor since I've been at Genesys. You and your team were extremely professional and helpful in the lead up to the event and I very much appreciate your patience in dealing with the many hurdles along the way. I can't tell you how refreshing that is after the dealings we've had with several other event/conference providers across APAC.'

– GENESYS

“Just wanted to thank you and the team for making us feel so welcome and looking after the team during the conference. It was definitely one of the best ones we’ve been to, so well done. When is your next event? Would love to keep the ball rolling on this.”

– SHOOTSTA

“I always enjoy the opportunity this summit affords for networking and a general check in on what everyone is doing.”
