Group Health and Safety Manager, Silver Fern Farms
Kurt Thomas is the Health, Injury Prevention and Recovery Manager and Acting Group Health and Safety Manager at Silver Fern Farms, NZ’s largest red meat producer with 7000 staff across 14 processing sites. Kurt has 20+ years working in Occupational Health and Health and Safety in New Zealand and Australia in a variety of industries. Kurttrained as a Physiotherapist at Otago University and Ergonomics at Massey University and is currently studying toward a Post-graduate Health & Safety qualification through Victoria University. Kurt works with individuals, teams and organisations to reduce musculoskeletal harm through improved injury prevention, safety and recovery initiatives.
