Sean Silvey, Head of Wellbeing, Health & Safety, Bupa provided the Keynote Presentation on, “The Importance Of Health & Wellness Through Leadership \u2013 A Total Solution.” During this presentation, Sean spoke about Bupa’s\u00a0work health radar, made up between the balance of\u00a0Physical, Personal, Psychological and Environmental factors. He spoke on the importance of leadership in any organisation and creating an environment that promotes healthier places, healthier bodies, healthier culture and healthier minds. Sean\u00a0reflected on\u00a0the link between personal health and the objectives and values of the organisation, claiming Bupa’s support to their employees. “Its important that you embrace and understand the people in your organisation; put yourself in their shoes…what are they dealing with?” He closed this presentation stressing\u00a0that people are the most important part of the organisation and that \u00a0health and wellness through leadership must be achieved for any companies WHS to succeed.<\/p>\n

Sean Silvey`s expertise and passion for health, safety and wellbeing has grown throughout his career with international organisations across a broad of industries, including AirServices, AMP Henderson Global Investors, ANZ, Spotless, Telstra and now Bupa. Sean holds a Bachelor of Arts, an Advanced Diploma of EHS and a Master of Business. He was a member of the United Nations Environment Program (Finance Initiative) Global Steering Committee and the Victorian Ministerial Reference Council on Climate Change Adaptation.
