Former Senior Manager, Boeing 737 Program
Mr. Ed Pierson is a safety advocate and whistleblower. He worked for the Boeing company for 10 years before retiring in 2018.
In his last capacity at Boeing, he served as a Senior Manager at the 737 Factory where he oversaw production system support for 737 commercial airplanes and the military version of the 737, the P-8 Poseidon aircraft. Prior to this assignment he served as a Flight Operations Senior Manager within Boeing’s Test and Evaluation organization—the division that is responsible for flight testing of all Boeing aircraft. Mr. Pierson also served in the U.S. Navy for 30 years in a combination of active and reserve roles. He held several leadership positions in the Navy including Squadron Commanding Officer and Operations Center Director.
He was the Boeing Whistleblower that testified before the U.S. Congress during their investigations into the Boeing 737 MAX. He has also authored three reports on these preventable tragedies.
He is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, Naval Flight School, and George Mason University.
