Nat commenced her career as a Physiotherapist and following several (somewhat frustrating) years in clinical practice, decided to change careers and moved into Health and Safety. After a few (equally frustrating) years soullessly championing the “safety paperwork” and boring box-ticking approach to safety, she wanted to find a better way to meet the needs of businesses, overcome the barriers to frontline workers engaging in safety and decided technology was the solution. In the wake of multiple rejected business cases and a reluctance to invest in digitalising and streamline safety, Nat taught herself how to code and launched her first application to prove the concept to her employer and investment followed shortly after.
Nat has both led and participated in many cultural and digital transformations across mining, construction, energy generation and manufacturing. Nat is now Head of Health and Safety at G8 Education and is embarking on her next digital transformation program of work.
