Dr Gemma Maisey
Principal Advisor Occupational Health, Rio Tinto
Gemma has over 25 years of experience in strategic health and safety across the resources, not-for-profit, and government sectors. She has supported clients in aviation, mining, and oil and gas through consulting roles, delivering occupational health strategies that improve worker health, safety, and performance. Currently, as Principal Occupational Health Advisor at Rio Tinto, she leads psychosocial risk management initiatives across their Iron Ore Operations. Gemma also has a strong interest in fatigue risk management, having completed her PhD in 2023 on shift work in the mining industry.
