David’s remit encompasses both IXOM’s corporate Safety, Health and Environment (SH&E), Quality and Sustainability strategy, policy and governance, as well as operational risk management and front-line worker engagement. He has held this role since October 2024, with formation of a new ESG function, combining SH&E, Quality, Operational Risk and Product Stewardship.

David has over 20 years’ experience in large-scale manufacturing, technology management and process safety, having held regional and global Sustainability and SH&E roles in Australia, Canada and the USA.

David holds a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from the University of Queensland, a Diploma in Work Health and Safety from Melbourne Polytechnic, a Graduate Certificate in Safety Leadership from Griffith University and is a member of the Australian Institute of Health and Safety.
