Chris Doyle
Group Head of EH&S and Assurance, Lendlease
Chris Doyle has the dual role of the Group Head of Environment, Health and Safety, as well as Group Head of Assurance for international property and construction company, Lendlease.
Chris has visited hundreds of Lendlease projects across 35 countries in his 18 years with the organisation, often in response to construction fatalities or project difficulties – each providing opportunities and insights to firsthand see the burdens endured by construction delivery teams.
In doing so, he has driven organisational change at Lendlease to highlight areas where financial capital and human capital can be in conflict and is passionate about setting up project teams for success through the lens of physical, product and psychological safety.
During his time in the Middle East, Chris was the founder of the BuildSafe Dubai and BuildSafe UAE not-for-profit groups which provided advocacy for improving the working conditions and support networks for the thousands of migrant construction workers in the region, many of whom were significantly affected by poor living and working conditions.
Chris has an Honours degree in Environmental Science, and a PhD in environmental engineering, and in an earlier time of his life he was a professional sports person. These days he is a passionate advocate for mental health, not afraid to tell his own personal stories regarding mental health, and in 2021 was named one of 12 Mentally Healthy Workplaces Ambassadors appointed by the NSW Government.
