    The Federal Government has three clear IR objectives including creating: an economy that works for everyone, better working conditions, and safe workplaces. The Fair Work Legislation Amendment (Secure Jobs , Better Pay) Act 2022 introduced significant changes to enterprise bargaining, pay secrecy and fixed term contracting, and on 4th September, the Government introduced further proposed changes through the Fair Work Legislation Amendment (Closing Loopholes) Bill 2023. The bill proposes significant changes including redefining casual employment, a federal form of wage theft, and the controversial ‘same job, same pay’ policy.
