Over the past 20 years in leadership roles, Charles has developed a strong understanding in translating business requirements into proven technology solutions. He has successfully developed and implemented multiple technology strategies, led numerous external audit, regulatory and compliance activities including certification, built governance frameworks, implemented technology transformation programs, through to budget optimization exercises. Charles chairs many steering committees and is an active member in CIO/CISO community roundtable forums.

Charles is a technologist at heart and started his humble origins within the service desk. Moving quickly within the ranks Charles has built many high performing technical teams. Key environments worked on include managing multiple infrastructure Data Centre platforms both private and public clouds, evangelising a DevOps/SecOps culture to enable and partner with the digital and development teams. Actively participates in Agile/Scrum stand-ups and stories, through to traditional Prince2 waterfall project working groups. Built an Architecture practice to align with TOGAF 9 standards. Charles also successfully ran business continuity and disaster recovery exercises between private cloud, AWS and Azure tenancies with the agreed RTO/RPO/SLA.
