Joey Chua began his career as a marine engineer in the Republic of Singapore Navy and has since built a diverse career in the maritime industry. Currently, he is the Director of Digital and IT Transformation at Gulf Marine, where he leads the organization’s IT strategy and digital transformation initiatives. Previously, he served as the Head of IT for SeaTeam Management and OSM Maritime Ship Management, demonstrating his leadership in maritime IT.

Joey is also a strong advocate for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and plays an active role in industry advancements as the Vice Chair of the Cybersecurity Workgroup at the Singapore Shipping Association (SSA) and a member of its Digitalisation committee.

His strategic vision leverages technology and cybersecurity to enhance operational resilience and innovation at Gulf Marine.

Outside of work, Joey maintains an active lifestyle, which he believes is crucial for managing his professional responsibilities effectively.
